Green-DEx
GreenDEx is envisioned as a centralized, digital, and multi-functional platform that functions as a Provincial Waste Data Exchange Platform, enabling data-driven decision-making, enhancing transparency, and strengthening sector-wide coordination across the Western Province. It seamlessly integrates data, knowledge, and collaboration tools into a unified system to support efficient and sustainable waste management across the sector.
Three Integrated Sub-Systems
The platform enables real-time waste data sharing and integrates key stakeholders through digital dashboards, supporting efficient monitoring and informed decision-making at national and provincial levels.
The Knowledge Hub provides policy documents, guidelines, SOPs, research, case studies, innovations, and training resources to support capacity building and informed decision-making in waste management.
The Waste Diversion Platform optimizes waste delivery for treatment and disposal, linking local authority requirements with large-scale facility demand to ensure efficient, sustainable waste management.
Figures show the waste transfers scheduled by the WMA for the most recent disposal date.
